Khadi Rag Papers are made in Karnataka, South India from 100% cotton rag. The cotton rag they use comes from T-shirt cuttings, a reliable source of pure woven cotton.

Rags are pulped in a Hollander beater. Neutral pH internal size is added at this stage. Khadi rag papers are the only handmade papers in India made with neutral pH size and are the only ones that are genuinely acid free.

These white papers come in a rough and smooth surface. The sheets are pressed between woolen felts for the rough surface and between zinc plates for a smooth surface. Perfect for painting, drawing, ink jet printing, and printmaking. Not recommended for laser printing.
