    Kozo + Pulp

Gasenshi is a kozo and pulp paper traditionally used for calligraphy and Nihonga (Japanese painting). This version of Gasenshi is already sized, eliminating the first step in preparing paper for Nihonga. Each sheet is carefully brushed with sizing which helps control pigment flow when working with liquid media such as ink and acrylics.

    Made by Hiroko Tanino

    *Note*
If oil ground is added prior to painting, then oil based media can be used on the paper without fear of the oil bleeding into and eventually damaging the paper.
