About Yucatan Papers:
Huun is the Mayan word for paper as well as the tree used in papermaking for hundreds of years. The ancient practice disappeared completely in Yucatan until 1985 when Project Huun of sustainable community development was initiated. This paper today is made by Maya-Yucatec artisans who combine Washi techniques with the ancient Mayan techniques.

Huun paper is 100% alpha-cellulose of select fibers of plants such as Sansevieria (Mother-in-law's Tongue) and Cattail. Both are renewable, the use of which does no damage to the environment.

*Each journal is unique, color shade may be lighter or darker than image.
