Description:
Paper Case bindings are flexible, durable and use minimal amounts of adhesive and equipment. They incorporate strong sewing and durable handmade covers that wear in beautifully.
In this workshop, participants will make a binding with sewn, unsupported sections attached to a cover made of handmade paper.
Participants will learn how to sew books in sections using a link-stitch sewing pattern, proper spine lining and how to make a light, flexible cover out of handmade paper and paper stiffeners. We will discuss proper use of different adhesives, use of templates to make covers and how to choose the correct materials for these structures.
